It was called: “rolling-the-dice.”

                             Every soldier in my basic training unit took the extra year and rolled the dice.

               The war: (not war) dragged on until 1975.  For many of us, the war never ends.

               The war became at that time, the longest our nation had ever fought.

               We lost an estimated 58,100 killed in action (KIA).

               Hundreds of thousands were wounded in action (WIA).

               More than 100,000 Americans died from suicide.  I will have more on this subject a bit later.

               We have more than a thousand Prisoners of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA) soldiers
               unaccounted for.

               More than 1.5 million American soldiers suffer from PTSD related to military service during the Vietnam
               War era.


                                                Where was our moral compass?

                                                  Did they all lose their soul?
