FRONT COVER
WAR EAGLE
My reading and studies of Native American people and
their cultural traditions persuade me that they were
deeply in touch with spirituality, symbolism, and
mythology.
Many Native American tribes believed eagles were
symbolic of higher awareness and possessed the ability
to communicate with humans.
The ghostly image of a War Eagle on the front cover is
representative of spiritual messengers bringing
apparitions (spirits or ghosts) to warriors. The War
Eagle is inspiring the unconscious to become vigilant.
The Eagle spirit forewarned that winds of change were
present; preparing humans for the coming change by
revealing how to find the inner strength and fortitude
to prevail.
I designed the front cover to reflect spirituality, as
well as a warrior’s gallantry and valor in battle. It
also represents the endless reminder that the events of
a warrior’s service can never be forgotten because of
ghosts from the past.
Very special thanks to Greg Kerwin and Mary Lovell of
Warner’s Printing. Their dedication and assistance
made my vision for the front cover a reality. The
reverse image of War Eagle was made possible by these
two special individuals. I salute you and the entire
Warner Printing team.
