During Basic Training, I became a well-trained and
indoctrinated soldier. I had concerns about what was
to come; my eyes reveal intense anxiety.

When I first saw the picture of that unknown marine,
his eyes and posture caused me to reflect on the day I
entered the United States Army. There is an eerie
resemblance.
The difference:
He was already serving “In-Country - In Vietnam”.
