MY CHALLENGE TO YOU

I challenge you here and now, right this moment.

Complete the following then revisit how you answered the questions of heroic medical care on the
               previous page.
                       1. Slip a sock over your dominant hand and tie the hand in a ball so you are unable to use the
                          fingers on that hand
                       2. Live your “normal” life for the next 24 hours

Having “accomplished” 1 and 2 above; attempt 3 and 4 next

                       3. Repeat 1 and 2 above. But, tie both hands
                       4. Live your “normal” life for the next 24 hours

Having “accomplished” 1 thru 4 above; endeavor to do 5 thru 7 next

You may use your hands. But,

                       5. Borrow or rent a hand-operated (not motorized) wheelchair
                       6. Tie both legs to the chair
                       7. Live your “normal” life for the next 24 hours
How was that? Challenging, problematic, impossible without help, and
               ____________________________ (You complete the thought).

Now for the ultimate challenge: Repeat 1-7 above at work!

Could you even go to work?

WOULD YOUR WORKPLACE ACCOMMODATE A DISABLED EMPLOYEE?

               Who:

                                                         Bathed you?

                                                     Brushed your teeth?

                                                        Dressed you?

                                                      Drove you to work?
