Did our soldiers lose their moral compass?
Considering the My Lai massacre, the Manual for Courts-
Martial was revised. Soldiers are now given some
latitude if they think an order is unconstitutional or
morally wrong. They can speak out without fear of
retaliation. Do you believe that to be true? Would
you speak out?
My service from 1967 to 1974 was at many places
stateside, two tours in Germany and a tour in Korea. I
was also sent on several temporary duty (TDY)
assignments. Humanitarian Assistance (Aid) missions
were frequently performed by the military all over the
world.
