One of my proudest moments serving my country includes when my mother

visited me in Washington D.C. We attended a performance of The Spirit of
America, Twilight Tattoo and many other patriotic events spanning nearly a
week.

I was dressed up in my Dress Blues uniform; my mother radiated with pride.
We were pampered and basically had front row seats for all the events. My
mother was given several behind the scenes tours and met several influential

military and political people of the time.
