I accept all dates from multiple sources for historical
examination. However, I believe we need to explore the
months preceding World War One and move forward from
               there.

At the end of WWI, the policies of President Woodrow
Wilson played an important role in developments leading
to the present-day nation of Vietnam.

Pre-WWI guarantees and policies of President Wilson
unquestionably influenced Ho Chi Minh and entangled the
               United States.

8 January 1918, President Woodrow Wilson issued a
statement that became known as the Fourteen Points.
The statement outlined a policy of free trade, open
               agreements, democracy, and self-determination.
