Trust me, when I tell you the Camp Humphreys of today
is a far cry from the place I served.
My “office” was in this Quonset hut on the left; MILVAN
(military Vans) were parked adjacent to the hut. Our
mainframe computers were in the vans. We operated an
NCR500 Stock Control and Supply inventory computer.
Yes, that’s me on the right. I recall that my
commander was Captain Ball, my Officer in Charge (OIC)
was Second Lieutenant Davenport and my NCOIC was SFC
Collins.
